Judicial Misbehavior

I heard a story today about a local Justice of the Peace. The docket was scheduled for 8:00 AM and about 11:00 AM they were finally about to start a trial. The Judge tells the jurors that if they were okay with it he wanted to just work through the lunch hour and get this matter resolved. Everyone agreed and then, at noon on the dot, the bailiff brings the judge a double whopper, fries and a shake which he proceeds to eat, on the bench, during the trial! The jurors, lawyers, witnesses, defendants, etc...had all been there since before 8am, were all hungry and had agreed with the Judge to work through lunch!

The average citizen's only contact with the judicial system is a traffic ticket in Justice of the Peace court or divorce. With behavior like this the norm it is no wonder people think so poorly of our judicial system.

Disrespectful is the best thing that can be said about such behavior! Truly a last nerve story!
